To All the Members of Canada's Deaflympic Hockey Team

Let me take this opportunity to wish the management, coaches, players and the staff of Canada's Deaflympic Hockey Team best wishes for the upcoming Winter Deaflympic Games in Sundsvall, Sweden. You should all be proud of your participation in this event, and I have no doubt that you will represent your country to the highest possible standards.

You are undoubtedly aware of the proud tradition Canada has earned as you prepare to defend the gold medal. This tradition of excellence should serve as a powerful motivator for all of you, and I encourage you to learn and build on past success as you begin to make your own history in Sundsvall.

On a personal note, one of my fondest memories as a player was wearing the colours of my country during the Canada Cup. Certainly, you will have the chance to show what you are capable of on an individual level. But more importantly, as you look back on this event in the years to come, it will be the teamwork and camaraderie that you will most remember. I encourage you to make the most of this opportunity.

Again, best wishes to all of you as your quest for gold begins.

Yours in Hockey,

Bobby Orr
