Welcome to (CDIHF) Canadian Deaf Ice Hockey Federation’s Website It is with pleasure to welcome all visitors to this updated website. 

CDIHF Team Canada:

CDIHF is proud to have the most successful Deaf Ice Hockey Team in the world winning two (2) gold medals (1999 and 2003). CDIHF is preparing to come home with a 3rd medal championship that will take place in Salt lake City, Utah, USA which will be hosted by the 16th Winter Deaflympis in February 1-10, 2007. Many of the Team Canada players were successfully chosen during our 6th Canadian Deaf Ice Hockey Tournament in Calgary, Alberta, May 2006 and also at the tryout Camp in Ontario, August 2006. CDIHF is very excited with these young players and hope they do bring the home,  the world championship cup. 

CDIHF Hockey Camp:

This year, CDIHF held its 3rd Hockey Camp for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Kids ranging in ages between 7 to 15 years old. 20 kids participated this year. CDIHF would like to thank these kids for attending the camp and hope to see them next year. The Board would also like to thank and wave their hands to staff members, interpreters and volunteers, least not the last Teen Ranch’s staff. Once again we are planning for the 4th annual Hockey Camp in July 2007. The CDIHF Board is also looking at expanding the Kid’s Camp in other Provinces. As always, the Hockey Camp was a success with everyone with everyone going home with a memory of the wonderful time. 

CDIHF World 1st Deaf Hockey Tournament:

CDIHF congratulates to Winnipeg, Manitoba for winning the bid to host the World 1st Deaf Hockey Tournament in 2009.   

CDIHF Acknowledgement:

CDIHF would like to acknowledge Canadian Deaf Sport Association for supporting the Summer Hockey Camp and Canada Hockey Tryout Camp.  

CDIHF Closing:

CDIHF will continue to provide and development programs for our kids, youth with hope that they will becomes our future champions. I personally would like to congratulate all CDIHF Board , Committee members and volunteer for providing many hours of their free time to make a our Organization a success. In all, I like to thank you for you’re the parent, fans, guest and strange for your support and I looks forward to meeting as many of you as possible over the coming months.
